Ma’aden lends its support to the digital enablement initiative

Ma’aden has been honored for its support of the digital enablement initiative, by HE Dr. Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sheikh, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Takaful Charity Foundation, in the presence of HE Eng. Abdullah Al Swaha, Minister of Communication and Information Technology, other esteemed guests and the leaders of other supporting companies.

The digital enablement initiative provides computers to financially disadvantaged students, in the Kingdom, eligible for support from the Takaful Charity Foundation. The contribution of Ma’aden and its subsidiaries reflects its continued commitment to community engagement and upholding social, cultural and economic values within the Kingdom.

On this occasion, HE Eng. Mosaed Al Ohali, CEO of Ma’aden said: “Ma’aden’s contribution today confirms our focus on supporting the education sector in Saudi, the Ministry of Education’s efforts in this initiative and ultimately helping to facilitate remote learning for Saudi students”.

“Social responsibility is integral to Ma’aden and it is what drove our SAR1 million donation to the initiative, launched by the Ministry of Education and Takaful Charity Foundation. This announcement embodies Ma’aden’s commitment, as a national mining champion, to its duties within the Saudi community”, Al Ohali added.

Ma’aden considers the support of Human Capital Development Program, a Vision Realization Program, as one of its top priorities. To that end, Ma’aden has taken an active role in establishing the Saudi Mining Polytechnic, one of the top mining institutes in the world, and in establishing the Schools of Excellence at some of its sites, in addition to providing the Saudi youth with training programs aimed at enhancing the national workforce.

Al Ohali concluded by expressing gratitude and thanks, on behalf of the Board and all of Ma’aden’s employees, to the Saudi leadership for its continuous efforts in fighting COVID-19, and to the Ministry of Education and Takaful Charity Foundation for granting the private sector the opportunity to take part in such inspiring initiatives that help to enable and uplift all the residents of Saudi Arabia.
