Arab International Aluminium Conference and Exhibition (ARABAL) 2015

The CEO of the Saudi Arabian Mining Company "Ma’aden" Khalid bin Saleh Al-Mudaifer announced the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, the governor of the Eastern Province of the Arab International Aluminium Conference and Exhibition "ARABAL 2015", which will be hosted by Ma’aden.

The event takes place between the fifteenth and seventeenth of November in Dhahran International Exhibitions Center in the Eastern Province, and will be attended by His Excellency Engineer Ali Al-Naimi, the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

Engineer Al-Mudaifer spoke at a press conference hosted by Ma’aden yesterday in order to shed light on the final preparations for "ARABAL" and the themes addressed and activities associated with this global gathering.

Engineer al-Mudaifer mentioned that Ma’aden’s hosting of this global event confirmed the place that the company had reached in the global mining scene, and its leading role in enrichingd this sector with their unique experiences, especially Ma’aden’s integrated industries, which would be one of the most important topics to be discussed at the conference.

Al-Mudaifer also pointed out that the participation of Ma’aden in global conferences was an affirmation of its reputation as one of the largest mining companies in the world. He added that during the conference the company would showcase its experience in the creation of an integrated industry through its aluminium project in Ras Al-Khair. He noted that Ma’aden was beginning to apply its manufacturing vision "from the mine to the finished product" through all the components of the project, from the mine through to the alumina refinery, passing by the smelter and to the rolling mill, as well as the aluminium recycling system.

Al-Mudaifer noted that the ARABAL Conference was regarded as one of the main events in the aluminium industry globally, explaining that this is an opportunity to review the available opportunities in Ma’aden and to present the Kingdom as an investment destination to the aluminium sector, which would contribute in attracting foreign capital and localization of global technologies, expecting also that this global industrial gathering and its future results would reflect positively on the wider aluminium industry.

The Conference was chaired by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of ARABAL, Mohammed Al-Naki, alongside the participation of representatives from the major aluminium companies. Mohamed Al-Naki, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Conference of ARABAL thanked His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef Al-Saud, the Governor of the Eastern Province with appreciation and gratitude during the press conference, stressing that this care will contribute to the success of the conference.

Al-Naki also explained that the number of sponsors of the conference had reached 17 sponsors, and more than 30 speakers and 51 exhibitors, adding that "ARABAL" features the most specialized global names in the aluminium industry, and will highlight the latest developments in the aluminium industry and the economic developments and the effects of the production process of the aluminium. He also mentioned that the exhibition would witness a review of the latest production technologies in the aluminium industry.

The Chairman of the Organizing Committee also noted that "ARABAL" would focus on the integration of the aluminium upstream and downstream sectors throughout the GCC. He also noted that it would discuss topics related to the future of the aluminium industry in the world to promote cooperation between producing and consuming mechanisms, thus achieving the common objectives of the participants in this gathering and aluminium industries in general.

The "ARABAL" conference, which was launched for the first time in 1983 in the State of Kuwait, is regarded as one of the most important industrial and commercial activities for the industries of aluminium in the Middle East region and the world through the presence of senior officials and companies of various aspects within the aluminium industry, alongside many VIPs and experts in the industry globally.
