Ma’aden is a sponsor of Arabia 2012, which is a premier global security, fire and safety conference, this year being held in Riyadh alongside the 15th International Conference and Exhibition for Industrial Security.

Ma’aden President and CEO, Engr. Khalid S Al-Mudaifer joined representatives from Saudi Aramco and Sabic as a keynote speaker at the event, where he outlined Ma’aden’s response to security and EHS challenges at the multiple facilities operated by Ma’aden throughout the Kingdom.

“At Ma’aden, security, environment, health and safety standards are not secondary considerations, they are completely integrated with all other business requirements, from the concept phase to the operations phase of our projects” said Engr. Al-Mudaifer, “I believe that to be effective, our approach must be disciplined and proactive but must also meet the real requirements on the ground. Our teams work hard to help protect the safety and security of our employees and the communities in which we operate.”

As part of its vision to become a world class minerals enterprise, Ma’aden has recently embarked upon a five phase strategy to enhance its security and EHS performance and lead the mining industry in delivering safe, sustainable and prosperous work environments.
