Riyadh- KSA, November 17: On the occasion of World Diabetes Day, Ma’aden, in cooperation with Riyadh Care Hospital, organised a Diabetes Awareness Day at Ma’aden headquarters to educate its employees about the threat of diabetes and to offer guidelines on leading a healthier lifestyle.
The programme included distribution of Diabetes Awareness materials. A medical team was on hand to provide free health advice as well as free blood sugar and blood pressure tests. About 150 employees attended the event and took the tests.
At an awareness lecture conducted during the event, participants had a chance to learn how to combat diabetes and adopt preventive measures. It also provided an opportunity for staff to learn about food alternatives and the latest therapeutic methods in diabetes treatment provided by health facilities.
The event highlighted Ma’aden’s focus on the health and welfare of its employees.
