Riyadh 23rd October 2012: Ma’aden participated this week in the annual MENA Mining show in Dubai with a presentation by Emad Sadaawi, Ma’aden’s Director of Exploration Technical Services.
Ma’aden was a sponsor of the event, which brings together mining companies, government officials, equipment and service providers as well as local investors involved in mining projects throughout the Middle East and North Africa Region.
Mr. Sadaawi’s presentation provided an update on Ma’aden’s activities in gold, phosphate and aluminium, but also focused on Ma’aden’s expanding exploration programme
The presentation assessed particular aspects of regional geology before examining highlights from a recent programme of airborne geophysics carried out by Ma’aden on targets on the Arabian Shield.
Mr Sadaawi also noted that as well as expanding its exploration activities for precious metals and industrial minerals, Ma’aden is looking to expand its mineral portfolio through exploration in Saudi Arabia for other resources including base metals.
