Ma'aden Phosphate Company to export the first shipment of ammonia next month

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – 20th February, 2011–The Saudi Arabian Mining Company, Ma’aden today announced that its affiliate Ma’aden Phosphate Company (MPC) is making final preparations to start exporting ammonia through Ras Az Zawr port and that the first shipment will be made next month.

The ammonia will be used as feedstock for the production of diammonium phosphate and when in full production, MPC will produce 2.92 million tonnes per year of Diammonium Phosphate Fertilizer (DAP). MPC will begin production in the second quarter of 2011.
